New Blog Style and Homework
Well I switched my hosting for Room 132 to dreamhost today. Dreamhost rocks. You get massive amounts of bandwidth and space for something like 7 bucks a month. You can host as many websites as you want with it for no extra cost and imap email is a good thing. Go check it out and if you get there via this link, I they’ll kick me back some change which doesn’t hurt. Can you tell I’ve also changed the look of the website? This week I’ll be putting a new pic up in the header there that reflects our academic identity.
This week is a short, but busy week. For Wednesday, students need to bring in their reading book and reading logs and two versions of their lead for their essa. By now students should have done enough research to find at least 8 pieces of information about their essay topic. On Thursday, we are going to write a couple versions of essay conclusions and then the first draft is due typed up on Friday. JR is my great intern from Antioch and he will be introducing a vocabulary lesson this week in Language Arts. In the coming weeks, we will be reading the play Anne Frank, and JR will be teaching a unit on social justice.
