Lit Circle Assignment:
Part 1: Each person will write a 1 page typed book response.
Book Response Criteria: Include one paragraph each on the theme, friendship in the book, and how the book relates to your life.

Part 2: Each group will make a piece of pixel art related to their book. You must have a plan for it by the end of the period on Tuesday.

Part 3: Act out a scene from your book in front of the class. Should be approximately 3-5 minutes long. Friday is presentation day except for Ahmed and Alex who will perform on Wednesday because Alex will be leaving on Thursday.

Monday
Journal Prompt: Now that you have finished your book, what will happen to your characters? What jobs do you think they will have when they grow up. Back your predictions up with some rational.
Lit Circle: Discuss the end of the book and figure out what kind of art project you will do and describe the scene you are going to act out. Write your ideas down on a piece of paper to turn in.
Homework: Final edit of your memoir due on Thursday.

Tuesday
Journal Prompt: Describe the place where your scene is going to be acted out.
Classwork: Begin work on art project and write the script for your scene.
Homework for LC assignment to be decided by groups based on need to get things done by Friday.
Get your reading logs signed!

Wednesday
Journal Prompt: If you have not finished your one page book response, write it in your journal. If you have completed it, then free-write.
Classwork: project worktime
Alex and Ahmed’s presentation at 8:50.
Homework: Final edit of memoir due tomorrow. Post to the blog for 5 points ec.

Thursday
Journal Prompt: Write a journal entry as a character in your lit circle book.
Classwork: Rehearsal and finish art project.
Homework: practice your lines for your presentation tomorrow finish artwork and type up book response.

Friday:
Presentations, turn in artwork and book response.
