It was mid-autumn; you could hear the wind rustling in the few leaves that we’re left in the trees. Lucy was sitting at her computer desk, text messaging her friends. Lucy was home alone for the weekend, while her parents were on vacation in Hawaii. Then, she got a message from xXClownFace187Xx. She accepted the unknown message, it read, “Hello Lucy”. “Who is this?” She replied. “I am everything you know and fear”, the other user, replied back. “Stop joking around, who is this?” Typed Lucy, who was now getting slightly shook up, being alone in the house. “I’m not joking, go ahead, get a weapon, lock yourself alone in a room, I know your alone, and I will find you.
A couple days went by Lucy’s parents would be arriving around one or two in the morning. She was about to get into bed when she thought she had heard something down stairs, so she went to look. She found nothing. Once again, as she was getting into bed, she heard the same noise, it almost sounded like a much distorted, muffled laughter. So again, she went down to check it out, but again, nothing. After she got back up to her bedroom, she decided it must be the wind, so she shut the windows. Finally she was asleep, but it didn’t take long for her to wake up again, to the sound of laughter, it was getting nearer. Lucy jumped up and locked the door; quickly she hopped under her blankets as a little kid would, hoping for protection under the covers. Footsteps seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere. Then, they stopped. Nearly half an hour later, she decided it must have been her parents, and they hadn’t checked up on her because they didn’t want to wake her up. Lucy was already unnerved, so she went to look for them, no such luck, she couldn’t find them. Now she was really scared. She was back in bed, then she saw a clown nose roll across the floor, she was so scared no noise even came out when she attempted to scream. A shadow flashed in front of her and landed in the closet. The thing was so fast, that you couldn’t even tell what it was. Cautiously she grabbed a baseball bat; she had placed next to her bed in case anyone chose to break in. She turned the door knob, and raised the bat. The last thing she saw was a grinning clown face, and a glove reaching for the bat.

Hey, That was a great story. It really had me at the edge of my seat. I think the parents will love it. Just know that when a clown comes near me I will be ready with my bat.

This was an exciting and thrilling story. I like the clown that was making all the sounds. You might want to add more detail.
